Clubs are required to upload their images for each category NLT 15th March 2022.
Each Club’s Image Co-ordinator is to email the Tamworth Co-ordinator, email@example.com who will give them access to the MyPhoto website so the images can be entered.
An image is considered to be Monochrome only if it gives the impression of having no colour (i.e. contains only shades of grey which can include pure black and pure white) OR it gives the impression of being a greyscale image that has been toned in one colour across the entire image. (For example by sepia, red, gold, etc.) A greyscale or multi-coloured image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multi toning or by the inclusion of spot colouring does not meet the definition of monochrome and shall be classified as a coloured work.
This is an open category where the photographer can create a photograph using any photographic or post-production process or techniques. The photographer can be creative, use emotional elements, create aesthetic beauty and uniqueness of their subject plus display their technical skill to create an image. The image is not restricted to its content unless it is deemed offensive.
Altered Reality / Creative Prints
This section is the extension of conventional photography into creative art.
An image created in the author’s imagination beyond what is seen through the camera’s lens. This includes set up scenes, zoomed photographs, double exposures etc, as well as images manipulated in various computer software programs. The final result must be all the photographer’s own work, including the original image.
Creative or Experimental
Images displaying a novel effect because of an unusual combination of objects and / or unusual viewpoint images that have been modified during or after exposure by using an experimental technique or digital manipulation processes are also eligible in the Creative / Experimental sections. The image must always have a basic photographic component and have been exposed by the entrant.
